Dear Members of the NAAAP Boston Community,

During the Board meeting on Monday, December 12th, 2011 the Board of Directors unanimously elected Ming Hui as the new NAAAP Boston President and CEO for the 2012 term effective January 1st, 2012.

Ming joined the organization in 2006 and became the Secretary in 2007.  Through participation in different committees, Ming led numerous professional development, community service and networking events.  As an employee at Putnam, a NAAAP Gold level sponsor, Ming also became a corporate relation liaison.  In 2008, Ming stepped into the Treasurer role and implemented strategies to focus on resource allocation and reporting transparency.  Having successfully revamped the financial reporting formats, focused on data analysis and added new templates for budget planning, Ming took on the new challenge as the Vice President in 2011 to focus on leadership development.  As the Vice President, she initiated the leadership orientation program to welcome and educate new leaders to our team and brought in new talents to serve the organization.

Professionally, Ming is an Analyst in the Global Credit Research group at Putnam Investments, specializing in high-grade and high-yield bonds.  In this role, she analyzes over 80 companies in the home construction, manufacturing, auto-rental, lodging, railroad and trucking sectors, with investment coverage represents $1 billion of Putnam's Corporate Fixed Income Assets.  Previously, Ming was an Investment Associate responsible for assisting analysts and portfolio managers in their investment processes, specifically researching and analyzing the housing, gaming, utility and forest products sectors.  Ming has been in the investment management industry since she joined Putnam in 2005. Prior to joining Putnam, Ming received a B.S. in Business Management at Babson College.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge Samson Lee, whose leadership over the past five years has brought NAAAP Boston to become a significant contributor to the Greater Boston Asian Community.  In addition, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the search process as I could not be more pleased with the result.  We are very fortunate to have found Ming; her experience, passion and drive will carry NAAAP Boston to a new level and further establish the organization as the premiere Asian Professional organization in Greater Boston.

Sincerely,
Marc Jin
