NAAAP Boston 2011 Board of Directors and Officers Nominations
Here Is Your Opportunity to Join the NAAAP Boston leadership Team!
Are you a NAAAP Boston member and want to become more involved in a leadership capacity? Do you want to build and exercise your skills for a leading Asian professionals membership organization that organizes major community events? If your answer is "Yes!" to either question, then consider becoming a NAAAP Boston Board Member or Officer. We are looking for candidates who strongly connect to NAAAP Boston's mission of promoting workplace diversity and professional development among Asian professionals. Drive and dedication to contribute to NAAAP Boston is a must.
Board Members are elected by the NAAAP Boston membership, serve two-year terms, and will work closely with the Officers and other board members to help set NAAAP Boston policies and direction, identify strategic areas for growth, and steer the organization in continuing to carry out the goals embodied in its mission statement.
Officer positions include President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, and are elected by the NAAAP Boston Board in December and serve one-year terms.
These volunteer positions are open to all NAAAP Boston members in good standing. Please see the PDF for the application form and detailed descriptions and requirements for the Board and Officer positions.
Election Application
Please submit the application form, resume (including your name and contact information) along with a 250-word (or less) essay reflecting your background, experience, and interest in NAAAP Boston as a Board Member and/or specific Officer. Describe your prior board/officer experience and NAAAP Boston involvement if applicable. Please send your information to Lisa Rong via email at lisa.rong@naaapboston.org
Deadline for submission is close of business on Nov 15th, 2010. Please note that your bio may be published on the ballots and/or this website. Ballots will be emailed out to the membership shortly thereafter. Voting results for directors and officers will be announced after Dec 6th, 2010.
