Mr. Lee and his family have always highly valued the role of education for Asians in America, and actively support scholarship efforts. Following is brief information about Mr. Lee:

LEE, Richard T.N. Of Brookline, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2010. Born August 10, 1926. Beloved husband of Chou B. K. Lee, and Devoted father of Thomas S.W. Lee, Paul W. Lee and Elizabeth W.W. Lee. Mr. Lee came to Boston from a rural village in southern China at the age of 13 and attended grammar school in Watertown, MA. He worked in a Chinese hand laundry and then as a waiter and manager for several well known Chinese restaurants in the Boston area, including China Sails, Cathay House, Braintree Five Corners and Fantasy Island. He retired in 1998 at the age of 72. He was most proud of the fact that his three children, Tom, Paul and Liz graduated from college, the first members of his family to do so.
