Samson Lee has been involved with NAAAP Boston since 1997. A member for the first 3 years, he became Co-Chair of Professional Development from 2001 to 2006, developing and planning unique Professional Development workshops and seminars, including Professional Speaker Series, Just Speak! Informal ToastMasters, and Coffee Talk Networking events. In 2002, he was the Co-Chair of the Speakers Committee of the 2002 NAAAP National Convention, planning and organizing 2 keynote speakers and 18 workshops and seminars for the annual national conference, held in Boston.
Samson was elected to the Board of Directors in 2002, helping to strategize the organization's goals and mission of making NAAAP Boston, the premier pan-Asian organization in Boston. He ended his Board of Director role in 2010, and focused on his current role as President and CEO, elected in April of 2007. Over the past 5+ years, NAAAP Boston has grown to over 450 members, becoming the largest chapter in the US and Canada, has the support of 9 active sponsors and 8 strategic in-kind sponsors, and has increased its brand awareness and marketing in the community and Greater Boston area. Samson also serves on the Advisory Board of Color Magazine and Get Konnected.
Samson was born and raised in Boston, and graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Biology. He has been working as a Network Administrator for the past 11 years in the Biotech, Finance, Internet and Consulting industries. Currently he is a Network Administrator at Bay State IT, an IT consulting firm that focuses on Biotech startups. Samson is responsible for planning and implementing network and server infrastructure.
