Nam Van Pham

Nam Pham possesses comprehensive experience in government and banking in both domestic and international environments. He has been a banker for more than 20 years. Currently, he works for United Commercial Bank as Vice President and New England Credit Approval Officer. UCB is a $12 billion premier bank serving Asian American in the US. He is leading UCB's effort to set up its operation in Vietnam for the last two years.

Previously, he was the chief lending officer for Asian American Bank. He was also the Asia Pacific Desk Officer for Bank of Boston, as well as Vice President for Regional Lending for Citizens Bank, a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland.

From 1994 to 2001 Nam served as Commissioner of Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, and Executive Vice President for Massachusetts International Trade Council. He has been a key note speaker and consultant on cross cultural issues. Nam also was a Visiting Lecturer at Tufts University.

Nam was an adviser to the past four Republican Governors of Massachusetts on Asian American issues. He serves on the Board of VietAID and is President of the Board of Vietnamese American Volunteers Association.

Nam earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, and MPA in Political Economy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
