Mel (Sien) currently serves as co-director of the Professional Development Committee responsible for the design and implementation of events and workshops aimed at career development and professional branding. She has over ten years of experience working in various industries including hospitality, retail sales, real estate and financial services with roles in management, business development and marketing. Mel is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in Philosophy and is currently a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management in Boston, MA.

Mel was born in Canton, China and immigrated to the United States during her early childhood. Being a Bostonian for over two decades, she still loves everything this city has to offer including the inclement weather. Mel resides in Boston, Back Bay-area and during her spare time she enjoys deep-sea fishing, attempting to learn golf and daydreaming about her mission in life — establishing a foundation to build schools for underprivileged children in China.
