Jim Fong's professional experience is in corporate business planning. He was Director of Strategy and Planning at Hewlett Packard, where he led worldwide business planning for HP's Consulting & Integration and Technology Services global business units. Jim's expertise includes strategy development and implementation, mergers and integration, business model and Profit & Loss planning, and ongoing business performance management processes. As a member of the HP Services senior management team Jim travelled internationally and developed leadership competencies in change management and high-performance teaming in multi-cultural organizations. He has a BS in engineering from Northeastern University, an MS in economic systems from Stanford University and an MBA from Boston University.
Jim retired after a 32 year career in Information Technology. He pursues personal, fitness and consulting interests, and volunteers extensively especially with activities involving Asian-American advancement. Jim grew up in Boston's Chinatown and enjoys the urban experience. For NAAAP Boston, Jim is a board member and a Co-chair of the Professional Development Committee.
