View the PhotosOn March 25 members of NECINA and NAAAP Boston attended a career development presentation by Larry Wang, CEO of Wang & Li Asia Resources on The Return Of China's Hiring Market: Pursuing Opportunities in the Mainland Today.

The session was jointly hosted by NECINA (New England Chinese Information Networking Association) and NAAAP Boston.

The evening started with welcoming remarks by Jim Fong, Professional Development Committee Co-chair of NAAAP Boston; Surabh Argarwall, President of the BU Asian Business Club; and Daryl Wang, President of NECINA.

Larry Wang's presentation focused on providing valuable, up-to-date insights into China's job market. In particular, he addressed helping U.S.-based job seekers to improve their understanding and approach to pursuing and attaining attractive opportunities in the mainland from abroad, as well as how to successfully pursue a career there. In addition, Mr. Wang shared his rich knowledge of specific industries, job functions, and companies in China today. Topics covered included:

  • China's employment market picture today
  • The "Ideal" Candidate - among Mainland professionals and among Non-Mainland professionals
  • High value-added capabilities that are still in short supply in this market
  • China Job Search Tips, and Q&A.
