The 2009 NAAAP Boston Holiday Party was held December 5th, at Vlora Mediterranean Restaurant & Wine Bar in Boston. On a wintry New England Saturday night, 75 hearty souls braved the snowy weather, still managed to arrive in style and were rewarded with a night of plentiful food, laughter and entertaining conversation. There were many familiar faces and several new ones as well. The cocktail hour which included delicious passed hors d'oeuvres was followed by a seated 3-course dinner. After dessert guests were treated to psychic readings and dancing.
We continued our efforts in support of other local organizations by collecting toys to benefit the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center. Additionally, we raised over $300 from our raffle (which included a prize of an autographed baseball by Red Sox Pitcher Jonathon Papelbon) for Ricesticks and Tea, a local food pantry serving Asian refugee/immigrant families.
Special thanks to Betty Chu, Lisa Rong, Joanne Liu, Celia Ho, Anita Yip, and Timmy Wong for all their efforts in putting this night together!
